Rear wiper question
Hiya folks!
I am new here, happy owner of an e11"luna type" rolla. Have noticed that you have a very strong e11 community here, which is very nice, since I like my e11 very much.
Getting straight to the point, I have noticed that many of you guys are having the rear wiper in an unusual for the e11 position. I mean down of the rear window, not up.
Here is what I mean:
It is a torture! how did you do this ?:)
What special skills should I apply to have this done ? Since I am really bad in Dutch, I cannot use the search of your forum properly, though I can still use the google traslate for reading
My question is - what ajustments should you do to your back wiper gear in order it to have a resting position down the window. What about dirt drag, will it increase after such an ajustment ?
I appreciate any help on this!
Cheerio!

Re: Rear wiper question
Hey, welcome man!
There is a tutorial on this forum, which shows how to lay the wiper down
This is the link: http://corollaforum.nl/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=27588" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Edit: oh, i see that the pictures aren't there anymore...
Grtz

Re: Rear wiper question
ok my english isn't good so i hope you will understand this
First unscrew this bolt and remove the wiper (this is the hardest part because it's a bit rusty)
then remove the interior by pulling it off (it isn't screwed but be a bit carefull)
then you ill see this:
1st remove the green arced bolts and take the wiper motor
2nd remove the yellow arched bolts and then you see someting like a locomotive ''drivetrain''
remove the big wheel and change the pin from the purple to the other purple arced hole (the opposit one)
then assemble it back and DON'T forget the wire on the yellow and green arced bolts
and my second mod is the 2002-2007 Corolla wiper arm
Cheers Bart

Re: Rear wiper question
Hey Bart ! thanks very much for such a detailed demo!
How do you take the pin out ? Impossible task! Tried getting out with pliers - no luck.
Tried turning the big wheel round, but once you turn the key into "ignition" - the wiper is moving by itself into the old starting position
So I'm stuck at removing the pin ... do I need to force that ? the big wheel is made of plastic, so really don't wanna damage it.
thanks very much for your help guys!

Re: Rear wiper question
Thanks Bart! I absolutely got the point!
Since I lack that sort of equipment - the wiper work would be suspended until I find bankschroef
The thing is called "bench vice" by the way
But anyway, I have all the details now, so shouldn't be any problem.
Thanks so much for your time!
